Rackspace Recommends Password Change, Due to the Heartbleed Bug.
Recently, media outlets have been talking about the "Heartbleed" bug that has affected nearly 2/3rds of Internet web sites. For companies with affected websites, changing your password does little, if the vulnerability is still intact. It is imperative you find out if any websites you log into have updated their SSL, to address the issue BEFORE you change your password.
Upon learning of the recent Heartbleed issue, an update was made to the SSL certificate for Rackspace, some customers may be prompted to accept the new certificate. Users should accept the new certificate which should clear the pop up.
At this time Rackspace has no reason to believe any sensitive user information was accessed due to the recent Heartbleed issue, however, out of an abundance of caution, Rackspace recommends that all users change their password as soon as possible.
