CrashPlan error "Out of memory", or not enough memory causing the application to keep quitting and restarting.  

Solution: 

  1. Open the CrashPlan app
  2. Double-click the logo in the upper right corner
  3. Type: java mx 4096 restart
  4. Press enter
  5. Restart your computer
