Simplified Setup for Platform SSO is a macOS 26 feature that streamlines Automated Device Enrollment by pausing Setup Assistant for an identity provider (IdP) sign-in before the first local account is created. After the user authenticates with Microsoft Entra ID, macOS provisions the first account from the IdP token using the TokenToUserMapping dictionary. The user lands at the desktop already registered for Platform SSO — no separate post-login registration prompt is required.
