How to Disable the Alert Sound in an ActiveStorage RAID

1. Download active admin from: http://support.active-storage.com/entries/210288-Raw-Firmware-And-Support-Files

2. Unzip the file and move to Desktop.

3. Open Terminal and Drag and drop activeadmin to the terminal window. You should see something like this: 
{machine}:~ admin$ /Users/admin/Desktop/activeadmin

4. To Login to the RAID with activeadmin:

{machine}:~ admin$ /Users/admin/Desktop/activeadmin -d {IP Address}

hit the Return key

5. You should see {IP Address}>
6. Type info, it will ask for the password. Type in the password for the RAID.
7. You will see the following:

8. type in beeper disable, Hit return.
9. You may quit out of the terminal.

Note:The following actions are available for the beeper command.

disable
Disable the system beeper.

enable
Enable the system beeper.

list
Display the system beeper state.

mute
Temporarily disable the beeper until the next restart.
