Creating a passcode policy with immediate reset using Jamf Pro

How To Set Ubiquiti Unifi App To Defaults

As a technician, you will most certainly find yourself working with multiple networks and configurations.  If you use the line of Ubiquiti Unifi products, it includes the Unifi app which you can launch and use a web based controller.  The problem is that after you run through the setup assistant once, you are not prompted again if you set up a new Unifi network in the future.  So here is the workaround rather than doing an uninstall/re-install of the product:

Work Around for creating a Shared Calendar for macOS and iOS when using Office 365

A separate dedicated account should be created for your shared calendars. This is necessary for permissions to work properly.  This user must be in contacts as well. By creating the account, the user will be added to your Global contact list and then accessible if you have contacts turned on for your own account. The process is explained below.

Through OWA or Windows Outlook. This must be done on OWA or Windows Outlook.

macOS 10.13: Telnet is gone.. Use NC

With the demise of telnet in macOS 10.13 High Sierra it is recommended we use the nc command.

Here is an example os the usage:

nc -z 192.168.110.220 8443

The -z flag can be used to tell nc to report open ports, rather than initiate a connection
